Gina Rivera’s Story
Gina Rivera’s roots in the beauty industry run deep. She grew up sweeping hair from the floor of her parents’ salon, carrying on a family legacy that dates back to 1929. After attending beauty school at 17, Gina built her career as a hairstylist before opening the first Phenix Salon in 2007. She went on to franchise the first Phenix Salon Suites location in 2012, creating a business model designed to give Lifestyle Professionals the opportunity to own and operate their own businesses. Gina has spent more than 42,000 hours behind the chair and remains a passionate advocate for beauty professionals. She has grown Phenix Salon Suites into a global brand while continuing to develop innovative beauty products, education and resources for the industry. From her television appearances and work with high-profile events to her philanthropic efforts through the Gina Cares Foundation, Gina’s career has remained rooted in one purpose: supporting the Lifestyle Professional and helping them build a successful future on their own terms.
